The Heritage of Arabelle
Housed within the celebrated Hôtel Plaza Athénée at 37 East 64th Street, Arabelle was conceived to transport discerning diners into the serene splendor of a European palace in the heart of the Upper East Side.
Versailles in Manhattan
Designed to evoke the majesty of 18th-century French châteaux, Arabelle's circular dining room is crowned by a magnificent hand-painted gold-leaf dome. Suspended below are genuine Murano glass chandeliers whose soft light reflects off polished brass fittings, fine linen, and supple banquettes.
The room was architecturally calibrated to provide conversational privacy and acoustic warmth, allowing guests to savor intimate conversations alongside world-class gastronomy.
Classical Technique & Seasonal Terroir
Our culinary philosophy centers upon the purity of pristine ingredients. Guided by rigorous classical French technique, our kitchen collaborates with small-scale biodynamic farmers across the Hudson Valley, pristine day-boat fisheries in New England, and artisanal purveyors in France.
Signature dishes like our Roasted Atlantic Halibut in truffled chicken jus have garnered praise from culinary critics across Manhattan, representing a harmonious union of depth, balance, and modern lightness.
Bar Seine & The Ritual of Tea
Adjacent to the rotunda lies Bar Seine—an exotic, amber-lit jewel box honoring worldly travels. Conceived with North African, Asian, and European design touches, it quickly became an Upper East Side institution.
Celebrated by publications including Time Out, Refinery29, and Untapped New York, our daily Afternoon Tea ritual and evening cocktail program continue to set the benchmark for boutique hotel hospitality in Manhattan.
